This is not your regular paint and sip, and not just any birthday party. Our events take place in the dark, and using neon glow-in-the-dark paint the colours pop right off your canvas. All the materials are included, and an apron to keep your pretty birthday clothes clean.

Our art instructors will guide you step-by-step through the painting process, no artistic experience required. You can pick a fun theme of the day (your biggest blooper of the last year?) or let us choose a design for you. We also offer a range of painting games to further spice things up. Of course everyone is also free to just paint away freely.
No drinks, no birthday party
We make sure that there are plenty of drinks for you and your friends to enjoy during the painting birthday party, all on the house! To further personalise the fun, you are also more than welcome to play your own tunes during the event.

How does a Rembrandt van Wine painting birthday look like?
Hard to put the whole experience into words, but we will give it a try:
We invite you to arrive around 10 minutes before the start of the event, giving you some time to settle in and get comfortable before we start with the actual painting.
Once everyone is in our host & art instructor will give everyone a warm welcome, and just the right instructions to get you started.
Then, it is mainly just 2 hours of painting and having fun. While you get into the painting, our art instructor is walking around for personal painting advice and our host is walking around to top up your drink
Finally, there is some time to wander around yourself, look at the other creations, have a chat and take some photos before we say goodbye at the end of the 2 hours.
But you are not leaving empty handed, you of course get to take your creation home with you!
What is the price for a private paint party?
We create a personalised quote for each group, there is not one fixed price for the private events. Factors such as number of people, date & time, inclusion of snacks and more make the whole event either cheaper or more expensive.

What is the maximum group size for a private painting birthday?
That depends a bit on which studio you plan on visiting – if any at all:
Amsterdam: Up to 70 people at once
Rotterdam: Up to 40 people at once
Eindhoven: Up to 40 people at once
Utrecht: Up to 60 people at once
Mobile studio: Capacity depends on the venue that we will be hosting your event in
I am not sure about the number of guests, can I still book an event?
We give everyone flexibility to change the number of guests up to 7 days before the event, so your team can RSVP and let us know. Just fill in the form with an approximate number of people, and we will take care of the rest!
What kind of other groups do you organise private events for?
Sport teams, friend groups, bachelorettes, corporate team building events, family outings – we have seen it all. Corporate, casual, or just because — Painting in the Dark is an experience that brings every group together for a memorable night! What kind of other events do you organise?
Anything artsy! We have regular clay partay events next to the regular paint in the dark events, and sometimes we organise special events in unexpected locations. Follow our calendar page and social media for up-to-date information.
