Rembrandt van Wine is a two hour sip and paint workshop with a twist. Next to the traditional painting part taking place in the dark it is also heavily focused on mingling in a semi-dark judgemental free environment. Simply no better place to get to know new people or a whole new side of people that you already believe to know. 

Rembrandt van Wine is all about having fun, getting out of your comfort zone, learning something new. It is definitely not your ordinary night out, come give it a try!

Everything you need for the paint and sip: Art supplies, canvas, art instructor, music, and a great amount of fun. 

Also, all drinks are on us. 

And, you get to bring your canvas home afterwards! 

We have 2 beautiful ateliers in The Netherlands, 1 in Amsterdam and 1 in Rotterdam. 

Our Amsterdam location is within 5 minutes walking of station Amsterdam-Zuid. The exact address is Parnassusweg 126 but the easiest way to find us is by searching for “Rembrandt van Wine Amsterdam” on Google Maps (or clicking this link).

Our Rotterdam location is located in “De Kroon” in Rotterdam-West. The exact address is Schiemond 20-22, 3024 EE but the easiest is searching on Google Maps for “Rembrandt van Wine Rotterdam” (or clicking this link). 

You are welcome to arrive 10 minutes prior to the event, when we will open our doors and welcome you with a big smile!

Ideally around 5 minutes before the start time of the event (which is stated on the website as well as in the email you received after booking). 

We open ours doors 10 minutes before the event. 

Absolutely you can bring your artwork home with you.

You created it so it should be you that hangs it above their bed (or somewhere else).

No, you don’t need to bring anything at all.

We will give you everything you need to create a masterpiece, including an apron so your pretty clothes don’t get dirty!

We wrote a whole article explaining the specifics of paint and sip events but for those of you wanting a short answer:

A sip and paint is a painting class taught by a professional artists in a social environment with a good glass of wine by your side. Or any other beverage. 

All levels are welcome at the Rembrandt van Wine painting sessions.

The art instructors are there to help you at every step along the way, no matter whether it is your first time or your name is Rembrandt and you want to focus on developing further a specific painting technique.

However, you don’t have to listen to our art instructors, you can also embrace your creative mind and paint it your own way. It is up to you! 

English and Dutch. 

Both our host and art instructor are fluent in both and depending on the group will either instruct in both or one of the languages. 

Drinks are all taken care of, they are on us. No need to bring anything yourself. 

Food is another story. During a regular event we do not serve food and there is no option to order it either. The event lasts for 2 hours so if you are afraid you will be hungry then please eat something beforehand. 

Is it possible to arrange cold and warm snack at a private event, depending on your wishes. 

Yes, we both offer non-alcoholic wine as well as a wide variety of soft drinks. 

If you wish to drink something super specific, please reach out to us and we will try to make it a reality. 

A Rembrandt van Wine event lasts for 2 hours.

We have learned that this is the perfect duration for some painting, sipping and socializing! We might go 5 or 10 minutes over time but we generally try to finish-up after 2 hours. 

By the way, you are welcome to arrive 10 minutes prior to the event. 

We don’t have a strict age limit. 

However, as there is alcohol being poured we ask each parent to decide for themselves whether they want their kid around in such an environment.

Yes, please do!

Life is too short to not do something simply because you are by yourself. Our host is especially focussed on making sure that even the cool people that came alone have a great experience. 

Yes you can do this. 

There are two options here, you can either buy as many tickets as your group needs for one of the nights through our event calendar. 

We can also organize a private event just for you and your groups. If you fill in this form then we will make sure to reach out to you as soon as possible. 

There is not one fixed price for the private events. 

Factors such as number of people, date & time, type of snacks and more make the whole event either cheaper or more expensive.

Fastest option for you to find out how much a private event would cost you is by filling in this form.  

We can comfortably host 30 people at our own event locations in Amsterdam-Zuid and Rotterdam-West. 

In case of a larger group we can organize an external event together at an external location.

Smaller group? No problem, we host private events for groups starting at 10 people. 

If you can’t make it on the date you planned to join we offer you to freely reschedule to a new date. 

Do note that we only offer this service up until 5 days in advance, as otherwise it might be impossible for us to re-sell your ticket. 

If you find out that you can’t make it within 5 days of the event then we offer you to freely change the names on the tickets so you can make someone else happy with a night at Rembrandt van Wine. 

No, we don’t offer refunds. 

If you can’t make it on the date you planned to join we do offer you to freely reschedule to a new date. 

Do note that we only offer this service up until 5 days in advance, as otherwise it might be impossible for us to re-sell your ticket. 

If you find out that you can’t make it within 5 days of the event then we offer you to freely change the names on the tickets so you can make someone else happy with a night at Rembrandt van Wine. 

For private events things are slightly different:

• 100 percent refund when cancelling more than 3 weeks in advance of the exact starting time of the event.
• 50 percent refund when cancelling between 1-3 weeks in advance of the exact starting time of the event.
• 0 percent refund when cancelling within 7 days of the event of the exact starting time of the event.
