Why London?
After a very successful first year in Amsterdam, where we got overwhelmed with all of your extreme enthusiasm, we started thinking about opening a second location just before the summer. But where, that was the big question.
Our first thought was Rotterdam, but finding an appropriate location to hold the painting workshops turned out to be more difficult than expected. And while we are still looking, and hopefully have some good news on that front rather fast, we understood that it was probably smart to bet on more than one horse.
Another city in The Netherlands, that didn’t feel right, our second location in The Netherlands should be in the second biggest city and not anything less. So we started looking at cities abroad, and having a bunch of conversations with people from all over Europe.
London was one of them, opening a second location here immediately felt like a natural step for Rembrandt van Wine. London’s vibrant, eclectic atmosphere aligns perfectly with the energy of our workshops, and we can’t wait to invite Londoners to step into our neon painting in the dark workshops. And to teach them to drink wine rather than beer.
What to expect at the London location
The exact same thing as in our Amsterdam location. Well, almost then. Rembrandt van Wine in London will be hosting similar painting in the dark workshops as those that made us famous in Amsterdam. And yes, just like in Amsterdam we will pour wine and soft drinks to get the creativity flowing.
But there are some differences as well, the art studio is going to be completely Rembrandt but also completely unique. After learning many lessons in Amsterdam we are ready to decorate the London art studio into an immersive experience just perfect for a painting in the dark night out. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned artist, the atelier in London is designed to let your creativity shine—literally!
When will Rembrandt van Wine London open?
In October. More specifically, the very first Rembrandt van Wine workshop will be on the 18th of October. Around and fancy a sip and paint? Get your tickets through the London event calendar!
